A vegetables stall at the entrance of the River Bus Stand at River Road Bridgetown was destroyed by a fire early this morning.
One vendor who was at his kiosk said he was alerted by a passerby.
One fire-tender from the Fire Service's Probyn Street headquarters along with 3 officers responded to the blaze.
Assistant Superintendent of the Royal Barbados Police Force Andy Bowen, expressed concern that the blaze could have gotten worse because of adjoining structures.
