Georgetown: Investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 3pm yesterday at Freeman Street, East La Penitence, Georgetown, and which resulted in the death of Joseph Parris, 6 years, of Freeman Street.
The Police says driver of motor car PPP 5931 was allegedly driving along the roadway at a fast rate, when he lost control of the vehicle and struck down the child who was standing on the bridge to his home.
Joseph Parris later succumbed to his injuries at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
