Dr Bisnauth remembered for his academic work

Georgetown : The late Education Minister Rev. Dr. Dale Bisnauth was laid to rest yesterday following a call for his deep-rooted academic work to be retrieved and stored in memory of his contributions as a politician, parliamentarian.

Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee who was one of several paying tribute, said his contributions as a cabinet minister were always innovative and full of optimism.

As a father, he was remembered by his daughter Janice Miller for his outpouring of love and affection, while at the same time instilling in his children, the values of discipline and respect for others.

The funeral service featured scripture readings, prayers, singing of hymns, a sermon by Rev Randolph Etwaroo and a procession to the Good Hope crematorium for the last rites.

Rev Dr. Dale Bisnauth was born in 1936 at Better Success on the Essequibo Coast. He died of a heart attack at the age of 76.
