Derrick elected new president of CFU

Bridgetown.

Gordon Derrick of Antigua, is the new president of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), he was elected to the at the CFU's 35th Ordinary Congress held in Budapest, Hungary.

He beat out challenges from Ronald Jones of Barbados, Harold Taylor from Trinidad and Tobago and Cuba's Luis Hernandez..

Derrick  a leading businessman in Antigua replaced Jack Warner of Trinidad and Tobago, who resigned form the post last year, Derrick is currently the general secretary of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Assocation.
