Bridgetown.

Edwin Yearwood and Malika Hart  has been included added to the list of semi- finalists who will compete for a place in the Sweet Soca Competition on July 6.

Yesterday Corporate Communications Specialist with the National Cultural Foundation (NCF), Andre Hoyte  announced the name of 16 semi -finalists with Malika Hart as the reserve.

Today, Hoyte told the media six songs submitted on time to the NCF for the Sweet Soca Competition on time were inadvertently not transferred to the Judges' play list and were therefore not judged in the original session.

As a consequence an emergency session with the judges was convened to examine and assess the six songs, which led Yearwood joining the semi-finalists along with the reserve.

Yeawood told Trakker News this evening he is not sure if he will take part in the competition.
