Georgetown : Based on issues that were ventilated in the press by the Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee in relation to allegations made against him by Immigration Consultant Balwant Persaud of alleged kidnapping, Balwant Persaud was invited and questioned by the police yesterday, based on a statement he had given.
He denied any knowledge of the fact involved in any of the allegations, and claimed that he only reiterated what was told to him by his client Mr. Kevin Lall who recently achieved refugee status in Canada.
He could not confirm any aspect of the allegations made and was subsequently sent away.
