Georgetown: The Guyana Government and the Emergence Group (TEG) –tasked with designing and implementing Guyana’s first Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team –signed a contract for the provision of consultancy services.
Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee and Director of TEG Dennis Hays signed the contract. Rohee said that he is confidence that the SWAT team will curb crime.
Dennis Hays boasted that with his wealth of knowledge and experience, the Guyanese can expect an established and functioning SWAT.
