Georgetown: Under the theme “Promoting Economic Growth and Development through diversification and Partnership” the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce will be holding a two-day National Economic Forum (NEF) on August 14 and 15, 2013.
The confab will be held at the International Conference Centre, Liliendaal. Featured presentations are scheduled to be made by His Excellency Donald Ramotar and Industry leaders.
Topics include Agro-processing, Aquaculture, Aviation, Energy, Human Resource and Manpower planning and tourism.
The forum aims to identify core and emerging challenges which need to be addressed by the Government and the business community in order to both consolidate the past seven years of the NCS progress and to identify new and critical areas of attention for future investments. A ten year vision for Guyana’s economic growth and development will also be presented at the meeting.
