CNS TV 6 suspended by Jagdeo for four months

Georgetown :After one hour meeting with minister of information President Bharrat Jagdeo and the proprietors of CNS TV 6 CN Sharma and wife Savitree, the controversial TV station licence was suspended for four months.
Sharma speaking to TrakkerNews after the 3pm meeting said the President inform him that his licence was suspended for eight months, however Sharma pleaded with the minister and got a four months reduction.

The recommendation of the suspension stemmed after the Advisory Committee on Broadcasting (ACB) advise the minister of a breach of the licence on May 04,2011 where a commentary was aired by former PNC member of Parliament and TV station owner Anthony Vieira.
CNS transmitter pug will be pulled on midnight of Monday October O3,2011.
Some 30 staff will be out of a job over the next quarter including the Christmas season.
Sharma’s licence was suspended three times over the past decade, for one day, one month and four months.
