Georgetown: Just after 1:30pm today, pandemonium broke out in upper Regent Street opposite the Guyoli Gas station after word spread that there was a fire. The fire department along with
members of the Guyana Police Force was called in and upon investigation, a homeless person was caught smoking between the back yards of two business places along with a rubbish heap on fire.
The firemen quickly put out the fire and the man was arrested which give a sign of relief to several persons who have business places there.
No building was reported damage.
