Georgetown: A thief was today caught red-handed when he broke into a house at Diamond New Scheme, East Bank Demerara, at about 11:30hrs, while the occupants were not at home.
He was arrested by ranks of a mobile police patrol after he had packed up some household articles to cart off, including a microwave, a television set, a mini-stereo set, kitchen utensils.
The man will be charged shortly by the police.
