The Careenage in Bridgetown will be transform into a a major yachting hub, says Government Senator Peter Gilkes.
Speaking during the Estimates Debate in the Senate, Gilkes said the upgrading became necessary, after officials from the Ministry of Tourism, successfully negotiated to have the prestigious classic Trans Atlantic yacth race finish here in December.
Gilkes told the Chamber as a result, the Careenage be upgraded to host some of the finest yaths in the world.
