West Coast Berbice: The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 9pm yesterday at De Edward Public Road, West Coast Berbice (WCB) and which resulted in the death of Donald Ambekar, 30 years, of Vergenoegen, East Bank Essequibo.
Investigations have revealed that Donald Ambekar was the driver of motor car PRR 6417, which was allegedly travelling at a fast rate, when he lost control and collided with a motor lorry.
Donald Ambekar was pronounced dead on arrival at the Fort Wellington Hospital.
Sookdeo Sahadeo of Bath, WCB, who was in the motor car, received injuries and has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
