Cabinet approves six multi-million dollar contracts

Georgetown : At a post-Cabinet media briefing yesterday, Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Dr. Roger Luncheon advised that ‘no objections’ were given to six contracts.  

The contracts are in the areas of: housing and water, education, tourism, public works and legal affairs.

In Education, the provision of security services for the Education Ministry in 16 lots at a cost of $168.5M.

Legal Affairs – The supply and installation of a generator for the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court to the tune of $22.9M

Housing and Water,  $170.6M for the construction of 81 core homes in Regions Three, Four, Six and Ten.

Public Works- $105.1M for the rehabilitation and construction of miscellaneous structures in Region Five (from Esau and Jacob to Mora Point) and $65.5M for the rehabilitation of sections of the main access roads in Regions Two and Three.

Tourism – Procurement of consultancy services for the conduct of a feasibility study on cruise tourism and terminal development at the country’s ports of entry to the cost of US $80,000.
