BWA fixing mains

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) has dispatch crews to fix  a number burst mains across the island.

Workmen are busy working at  Benn Spring, St. John where a burst main has affected several villages in the eastern part of the island including  St. Margaret’s, Glenburnie, Foster Hall, Bathsheba, Gaggs Hill, St Elizabeth Village, Cattlewash, Lakes, Belleplaine, Walkers, Shorey Village, Bawdens, Haggatts, St Simons, Chalky Mount, Cambridge, Baxters, Bruce Vale, Massiah Street

BWA  crews are are also  repairing mains at Regency Park, Christ Church in the south of the island,  Sandy Lane,  St James on the west coast and at Connell Town, in the northern parish of  St Lucy.

A statement from the BWA says that Water tankers have been dispatched to assist persons in all affected areas, however, due to the high volume of demand, customers will experience some delays.
