The Barbados Tourism Authority, (BTA) has began discussions with Bardadian international superstar Rihanna, in a bid to get her market the island as a holiday destination.

Chairman of the BTA Adrian Elcock told Trakker News that the Grammy Award singer has tremendous brand value for Barbados.

Elcock stated that the BTA wanted to work with Rihanna because "she is one of us".

He added that two weeks ago the president of BTA, David Rice, held talks in Los Angeles with Rihanna management team.

As a result of these meetings we are going to have Rihanna marketing Barbados as an international holiday destination, Elcock stated.
