Brazilian national died after injured during robbery

NWD : Brazilian national Joao De Souza died one day after while on his way to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC) to seeking medical attention. The 57 year old was attacked by a man armed with a piece of wood, during a robbery at 5 Miles, Arakaka, North West District Wednesday last.

He was struck about his body by the perpetrator who escaped.

Joao De Souza was subsequently taken to the Arakaka Health Centre and referred to the GPHC. He succumbed while awaiting transportation at Matthews Ridge Airstrip at on Thursday.
