Georgetown: A fatal accident that occurred at about 1pm yesterday on the De Edward Public Road, WCB, resulting in the death of Seeranie Jagjit, 72 years of No. 11 Village, WCB.
Investigations revealed that mini bus BNN 2323 was proceeding along the roadway when the tyre of a wheel blew out causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle which turned over.
Several passengers received injuries including Seeranie Jagjit who was taken to the Fort Wellington Hospital. She was subsequently referred to the GPHC where she was pronounced dead on arrival. The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
