Berbice hire car drivers raised their concerns with President Ramotar.

Berbice : Hire car drivers plying the New Amsterdam-Corentyne route met with President Donald Ramotar, to share their concerns. Also present wre members of the Guyana Police Force.

The drivers brought to the table the unavailability of a park to accommodate cars plying the Corentyne route, a matter which saw the President calling on the police to consult with the Town Council and other relevant agencies to explore the possibility of establishing a park between Church and Trinity Streets (waterside).
President Ramotar highlighted that some of the stipulated speed limits in Guyana need to be revisited and noted that a review was recently done in this regard.      

  He also pointed out the need for proper public advertisements and announcements with regards to traffic-related and other issues. Drivers are also calling on the authorities to clamp down on private hire car operators.
