Berbice : Rajesh Kunananauth has been discharged from the New Amsterdam hospital today after undergoing surgery for a gunshot wound
Last night at Rose Hall, Corentyne, Berbice, businesswoman Samantha John Rose Hall, was attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm. Her reputed husband Rajesh Kunananauthwas shot and injured during the incident.
According to a police report Samantha John and Rajesh Kunananauth were in their grocery shop, when the two perpetrators entered and held them at gunpoint. The men took away Samantha John’s personal jewellery and an undisclosed sum of cash and escaped.
During the robbery Rajesh Kunananauth was shot to his left shoulder and has been admitted a patient at the New Amsterdam Hospital.
