Beepats commissions warehouse at Sophia

Beepats-300x199Georgetown: A multimillion-dollar state-of-the-art warehouse was commissioned by the Beepats Company on Dennis Street, Sophia, Greater Georgetown,

Fire had destroyed the company’s original structure at Ogle East Coast Demerara two years ago.

Although only 90 per cent complete, the net construction cost at its completion would amount to $9 million. Boasting 75,400 square feet of floor space, the new Beepats warehouse is now among the largest facilities of its kind in the country equipped with modern facilities for storage, handling and inventory control systems.

During the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo, acting in the capacity of President, delivered the keynote address, where he recognised the long line of successes on the Beepats family, congratulating them on yet another milestone.

He also recognised the economic benefits this new bond would bring to the residents of surrounding communities through possible job creation opportunities.

Business Minister Dominic Gaskin during his speech, also extended warm congratulatory messages to the company on their success.

State Minister Joseph Harmon also congratulated the company on their achievement.

Beepats is one of the leading product distributors in Guyana and has become a well known household name in the country, distributing high end products from companies such as Nestle Caribbean Inc, Unilever Bestfoods, Reckitt Benckiser, among others.
