Piarco: Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has disclosed that an energy company operating in Trinidad and Tobago waters has made a major oil and gas find that could greatly benefit this country.
Speaking to reporters on her return from Panama, the prime minister said Bayfield Energy has discovered some $30 million barrels of oil and alot more in gas.
In that light she says she had mandated the Minister of Energy and the Minister of Trade to consider partnering with Panama and Jamaica as well as other countries demanding gas from this country in developing regassification solutions.
