Bartica: Commander of 'F' Division (Bartica, Interior locations) Ravindradat Budhram received trophies on behalf of the Bartica Police Station during an award ceremony Wednesday hosted by the regional Mashramani committee, region seven. The event was held at the regional administrative building, Bartica. The Bartica Police Station and the divisional headquarter entered the competition for the “best illuminated building” for government entries and the best decorated building. A total of 20 entities covering both large and small categories entered the competition which was judged on February, 21, 2017. The divisional headquarters received the winning award for being the best illuminated and a third place for the best decorated building. Additionally, Assistant Superintendent Shivbarran and Sergeant English received two trophies for the best costume. The trophy for best float was awarded to the police youth groups (Bayderabo, Itaballi, Bartica, Kalcoon and Agatash) which participated collectively in the float parade on February, 23, 2017.
