Georgetown: Reyan Baird, 24 of of East Ruimveldt Housing Scheme, was shot in right side Saturday afternoon during a confrontation with two men on bicycles. The men attempted to rob the man who is a dance instructor, along with one of his female students Giovanni De Roche. The attempt robbery occurred in ‘A’ Field Sophia. Reports reveal that the two men on bicycles confronted them and one of the men drew a gun and ordered them to hand over their valuables. However, the student turned to escape when one of the men shot the dance instructor. The young woman said that she managed to take refuge in a relative’s yard. Baird was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where he was scheduled to undergo surgery.
