Bandits attacked Universal Drug Store, located at D’Urban and Hardina Streets, Wortmanville, and carted off GUY$2.8 million Monday night.
Reports disclosed that this occurred while the owner Ian Edwards and Manageress was closing up the business. The building housed a Bill Express, Lottery, Western Union, and a Document Centre.
Police are investigating the circumstance under which the robbery occurred since no shots were fired. Two men forced the manageress back into the building as she was closing the business. Report disclosed that she was assaulted.
