Victory motorcade by opposition MP halted

Bridgetown.

A victory motorcade by long standing  Barbados Labour Party (BLP) Member of Parliament Ronald Toppin was halted because of two incidents yesterday evening.

The first incident took place in the Husbands New Development, St Michael, when a man snatched a flag from a particpant in the motorcade broke it in two and trampled on it. The other incident occur at Grazettes, St Michael, it was triggered by a member of the motorcade and escalated into a fight, the police was called to the scene.

"This was an individual who misbehaved and incidentally, who had not taken part in any of my motorcades before. We decide to call it off because the in latter incident place a damper on things and we did not get to finish Grazettes or Cave Hill", Toppin told Trakker News.
