Georgetown : The Detectives in Division ‘C’ are investigating the murder of Orrette West, 28 years, a bodywork technician, of Guyhoc Park, which occurred about 12:30 a.m. today Friday June 03, 2016, on the Railway Embankment in the vicinity of Plaisance, East Coast Demerara.
Investigation so far revealed that deceased was in company of his girlfriend, when an argument ensued between the deceased and an unidentified assailant over a fight they had some time ago. As a result the assailant pulled out a knife and fatally stabbed the deceased in the region of his left side chest and escaped.
The suspect has not yet been arrested.
