Berbice : Robert Sandy, 48 years, of Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, died during today at the New Amsterdam Prison.
Robert Sandy had been charged with the murder of Onika Greaves which occurred on May 19, 2014, and had appeared in court yesterday where he was remanded to prison until June 09, 2014.
He was suspected of having consumed a poisonous substance following the incident and had been admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital under guard until Monday May 26, 2014, when was discharged.
