Attempted robbery thwarted by public spirited citizens.

Georgetown-Four men moments ago attempted to rob a family staying at the sleepin hotel on Church street. The foreigner his wife and two kids were walking along church street as the men on motorcycles trailed them. A taxi driver observed the suspected move and alerted guards stationed at two locations including rotihut who raised an alarm. The men by this time had taken up positions on Church and Albert streets when the family unsuspecting of any threat walked calmly back to their hotel at the Sleepin. The men quickly scampered after their plan was twarthed by alert members of the public. Kudos to the taxi driver and guards who raised an alarm.
