Georgetown: Officials of the Georgetown Prisons prevented a disaster after high profile prisoner, Colin Jones, who is accused of murder tried to set fire to his mattress in an attempt to start a major inferno Tuesday morning.
Prison officials contained the catastrophe after fellow inmates raised an alarm when they saw smoke emanating from Jones’ quarters. Jones, a suspect in the arson of the Ministry of Health building on Brickdam, is also committed to stand trial for the murders of two of his accomplices.
