Georgetown: The Guyana Defence Force is working assiduously to recover the body of a Coast Guard rank who they fear drowned Monday morning.
The Military noted that Ordinary Rating (OR) Darwin Simon and two other ranks had just finished mooring their boat alongside the Floating Base at midnight on Sunday when it is reported he fell into the river.
Searches are continuous as the army is currently in progress to recover the body and a Board of Inquiry has been established to investigate what transpired.
