Georgetown : About 10:30pm yesterday, businessman Huang Jian, 44 years, and his reputed wife Jheng Shukang were about to enter their home at Industry, East Coast Demerara, when they were held up by two men armed with firearms.
The perpetrators took away a handbag containing $600US and escaped, after shooting Huang Jian to his left foot. He has been admitted to hospital.
Investigations are in progress.
