APNU says workers forced to protest their office

Georgetown : A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) this evening says the party was reliably informed that workers form Mahaica-Berbice Region (Region five) are being bullied and coerced into traveling to Georgetown tomorrow, to picket in front of the Office of the Leader of the Opposition and Parliament Buildings.

The party claims several workers from the Region have called the Office of the Leader of the Opposition to complain that they are being forced to travel to Georgetown to protest. They said they were told that that they have to go and protest against the Opposition because “they voted against the Hydro”.

APNU  now calls on the ruling Peoples Progressive Party Civic to know that such tactics will not distract them and the alliance remains committed to representing and working in the best interest of the people of Guyana.
