Georgetown: A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) expresses it sincerer condolences to the relatives of 18 year old Rena Devi Singh who died yesterday in a motor vehicle accident at Letter Kenny on the Corentyne Highway.

APNU today calls for stricter methods of enforcement and safer road. Speeding continues to be a major contributing factor in road fatalities. APNU further calls on the Guyana Police Force to put the necessary resources in place to ensure that our highways are adequately policed.  Far too many Guyanese have lost their lives on the inadequately patrolled Corentyne Highway and the Soesdyke-Linden Highway.

APNU iterates the National Assembly’s resolution Number 18 of 2012 passed on July 30th 2012 expressing no confidence in Minister of Home Affairs Mr. Clement Rohee.

APNU calls on President Donald to revoke the appointment of Clement Rohee as Minister of Home Affairs and appoint someone who is capable of ensuring human safety.
