American pleads guilty to money laundering

Bridgetown.

Levar Patrick Maycock-Beckles, 36 pleaded guilty to money laundering in the Bridgetown Magistrate Court yesterday.

The American pleaded guilty to laundering Bds $12,000 and US $230, he was fined $10,000 forthwith by Magistrate Pamela Beckles and the money was confiscated.

Maycock-Beckles also pleaded guilty  to possession of half kilogramme of cannabis, possession with intent to supply and trafficking.

He was convicted, reprimanded and discharged on the two lesser counts, but fined $20,000 forthwith or two years in prison for trafficking.
