Actor Mark Wahlberg has purchase the Hollywood is the new owner of the Barbados Tridents.
Wahlberg a actor, producer, model and former rapper who is best known for his role in films such as, "The Departed","Ted" and "The Fighter".
According to Chief Executive Officer of the Limacol Caribbean Premier League, (CPL) Damien O'Donohoe, the American actor signed the contract that give him owner of the Barbados Tridents on Monady.
Wahberg who is a close friend of Chairman of Verus International and founder of the CPL, Ajmal Khan, is expected in the island shortly.
O'Donohoe also revealed that The Virgin Group is also onboard for the competition. The partnership with Virgin covers the league's six competing franchises as well as making Virgin Atlantic the official airline of the CPL.
Virgin's efforts will also be focused on the Antigua Hawksbills, coached by West Indies cricket legend Sir Vivian Richards, the company will be and offering a host of competitions and prizes to help raise the excitement level of the competition.
