Georgetown : An unemployed Albouystown resident was last night detained by ranks of a police mobile patrol on Mandela Avenue with an illegal firearm.The 27 years old male who was riding a bicycle in the vicinity of the “Well”, on seeing the police, dropped the weapon and attempted to escape but was promptly arrested; the firearm was retrieved and found to be a .32 pistol with three live matching rounds.
The suspect is being processed for court.
