Georgetown : Police in ‘D’ Division (West Demerara/East Bank Essequibo) carried out a series of raids and searches during which a total of 29 buildings were searched.
A quantity of marijuana was found and a number of persons were arrested pending investigations into various offences including trafficking in narcotics, break and enter and larceny, rape, wounding, robbery under arms and loitering.
Roadblock operations were also conducted.
