A call for Minister to step down

A call by citizens of Trinidad and Tobago for the Minister of National of Security Jack Warner, to step down from his position in the Government. In a news report by journalist Mark Hosenball, it states that "an FBI probe into alleged corruption international soccer had; recently intensified after investigators persuaded a key party to be a co-operating witness" The article quoted US law-enforcement sources.

Citizens as well as the opposition party PNM believe the situation is an international embarrasment. They believe this embarassment will be laid at the feet of the Prime Minister because she had the authority to appoint ministers. The PNM reminded the ruling party by saying "we told you so." The call is for the Prime Minister to tell the country what is the state of affairs regarding the Minister, and letting him step down from his position as minister until such time as he is clear of any or all allegtaions against him. They belive he should never have been appointed  as a minister in the first place. They also believe the fact that she appointed him is the reason she is defending him now. Several  request for party members to comment on the issue went unanswered.
