Sixteen workers made redundant at B&B Distribution Limited

Bridgetown

Sixteen employees with B&B Distribution Limited have been made redundant.
Chief Executive Officer  of Banks Holdings Limited, the parent company of B&B Distribution Limited  Richard Cozier told journalists last night  this is a result the company’s restructuring process as it looks to remain viable and better serve its customers.

He stated that the company has been in talks with the Barbados Workers Union for the past two months about the changes and the impact they would have on the staff.

Cozier said the employees have received compensation packages as well as contributions towards training for future employment.

He said the workers were given the first option of applying for the new positions created through the exercise, although he noted that there were not enough new positions for everyone and some others opted for voluntary separation.
