Essequibo: The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 7:00am today at Queenstown, Essequibo Coast, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Henry Sookra, 79 years.
According to the police at the Cinderella County, the driver of motor lorry GEE 7332 was reversing along John Street, Queenstown, when it is alleged that he struck down Henry Sookra who was walking along the roadway.
Henry Sookra was taken to the Suddie Hospital for medical treatment where he later died. The driver has since been detained pending investigation.
