Georgetown : George Barker of Freeman Street, Georgetown lost his life at around 7am on January 01,2015 after being struck down by a motor car.
The 61 year old was walking along Cemetery Road in Georgetown when a driver of a motor car lost control after a punctured tyre and struck down Barker.
The police have detained the driver while conducting their investigations.
2014 road fatalities increased by 34 compared to 2013.
