West Coast Demerara : The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at at De Kendren Public Road, Est Coast Demerara and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Shameer Mangal, 53 years, of De Kendren.
Investigations have revealed that Shameer Mangal was walking along the roadway, when he was struck down by a motor vehicle that was driven away from the scene.
Shameer Mangal was pronounced dead on arrival at the Leonora Cottage Hospital.
Investigations are in progress.
