Essequibo : At about 1:30am today, three men, one armed with a firearm and the others with knives, entered a shop at Mango Landing, Essequibo River, and held up the owner Linden Mc Almont, 50 years, of Annandale, East Coast Demerara, and his wife Maureen Mc Almont.
During the incident Linden Mc Almont was shot to his body and his wife was robbed of her jewellery by the perpetrators who escaped.
Linden Mc Almont was pronounced dead at the Mahdia Hospital Mortuary.
Investigations are in progress.
