Essequibo : The police are conducting investigations into a fatal accident that occurred at about 9:30am today on the main road of the Charity Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, that resulted in the death of pedestrian Jausia Persaud, 3 years, of Charity Housing Scheme.
Investigations have revealed that the child attempted to cross the road and was struck down by a motor lorry. He was pronounced dead at the Charity Hospital.
The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations
