East Coast Demerara : Investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at at Colombia, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, and which resulted in the death of pedal cyclist Christopher Hookumchand, 22 years, of South Prospect, Mahaicony.
Investigations have revealed that Christopher Hookumchand was riding his bicycle along the roadway when he was struck down by a motor car. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mahaicony Cottage Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
