East Coast Demerara : Investigations are being conducted into an incident that occurred atat the Beterverwagting Police Station, ECD, where Reaz Khan,20 years, who was in custody at the time, ingested a quantity of telephone cleaner.
Reaz Khan of Block 8, Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara,was been arrested by the police during investigations into a report of Break and Enter and Larceny. He was awaiting transportation to another station when he grabbed the container with telephone cleaner from a desk and drank some of the contents before it was taken away by the police.
Khan has been admitted a patient under guard at the Georgetown Hospital. His condition is stable.
