15 year old mechanic shot to face during armed robbery – listed serious in hospital

Georgetown : At around 2pm yesterday three armed men committed a robbery at a mechanic shop in South Ruimveldt, Georgetown. One of the employees allegedly had a scuffle with one of the suspects and during which one round from the suspect’s firearm struck the employee Jamal Lewis, 15 years of Ren Avenue, South Ruimveldt, in the face.

The employees were robbed of cellular phones and a small amount of cash. The suspects escaped in a silver Spacio, registration number unknown.

 Jamal Lewis, is presently a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital. 
His condition is listed as serious.

 Investigations are in progress
