Georgetown : The Easter weekend is approaching and a number of activities have been planned across the country with an anticipation of thousands of tourists coming to Guyana. One of them is the annual Miss Linden Town Pageant.
President Bharrat Jagdeo met with the delegates who will be vying for the Miss Linden Town Week Title, which is a yearly feature for the Linden Town Week Activities, to be kick off on April 24 and concludes on May 3.
This event is organised by the Linden Town Council in an effort to promote community tourism.
Some of the activities planned to entertain visitors are fishing, football matches, karaoke and street jams, an exhibition and the pageant.
