Georgetown: One prison warder was killed in a prison escape and over a dozen inmate injured in a riot that resulted in a fire that almost consumed the entire Camp Street Prison Complex. Prison Officer, Odinga Wickham, who was rushed to the Georgetown with gunshot injuries, has died. Prisoners are being evacuated from the facility. There are fears for the lives of others in the compound and the Capital Section is said to have gone up in flames. A prison officer has been shot twice and has been taken to hospital. Other injured persons have been seen being taken from the compound. Security forces have cordoned off the scene. Along with flames, large amounts of smoke have been seen emitting from the compound and gunshots are being fired on the outside from within. At 5.30 pm, only two fire engines were at the scene.
